Born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel, Yochai started dancing, acting and singing Musical Theater in his teens. After completing his army service, he trained in the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and danced with the JAMD and Ka’Et Ensembles, and the Fresco Dance Company.
After re-engaging a Musical Theater career in Israel, Yochai moved to New York in 2017 to make it bigger on all fronts. He’s been expanding his movement vocabulary, dancing for local artists, and climbing up the rungs of the ladder. He received a Thai Masseur certification at the ITM Thai-Hand-School in Berlin, and holds a B.A in Psychology from the Open University of Israel. He is considering physical therapy as the next step in his journey towards a well-rounded therapeutic occupation.
Yochai feels extremely lucky to have been given the opportunity to explore the world of physical therapy at James Fowler, and has been enjoying the interaction between the world of dance performance and the physical therapy art of healing.
